this morning several metro committees are meeting to discuss big changes. >> including a decision on putting the dulles station above or below ground and talking about ideas for new rail cars and possibly changing some names. sarah simmons is live at the foggy bottom station. >> reporter: there is several on the agenda for several different committees talking about different issues. one is escalators and elevators. there is a lot of complaints from riders. where we are here, they have been working on an escalator replacement program for some time. we have seen workers here this morning. part of what they will be talking about, one of the committees, a plan to increase the on time preventative maintenance because there has been a large increase in maintenance and service calls. metro is getting feedback from rider focus groups on the design of the new 7,000 series rail cars. the first ones are set to arrive next year for the silver line to dulles airport. now, along with that, they will be talking about the naming rights of the new stops on the line. there was talk at one point of sel
